Important Experiences Playing at Premier Tournament

JAKARTA - The BCA Indonesia Open Superseries Premier 2016 is always awaited by world badminton players, to play and to be able to be on the highest podium.

Apart from the US$ 900.000 prize money, the BCA Indonesia Open Superseries Premier gives unique experience to athletes, the crowd at Senayan is a magnet and attraction for players who are hard to find an atmosphere like it anywhere in the world.

For example, Indonesia women’s doubles pair, Agatha Emanuela/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti. PB Djarum Kudus’ young players had their debut at the tournament. Unfortunately they were defeated on Wednesday (1/16) by Maiken Fruergaard/Sara Thygesen from Denmark. They lost two games straight, 16-21 and 21-23.

Despite the defeat, they are happy enough to gat a chance playing at a premier level tourney, especially at 16 years old.

"We were so tense, I have never played in front of the crowd like that. This will measure our ability, and also a precious experience for us,” Siti said after the match.

"We did too many high returns and we made our own mistakes in the match. The second game, we began our attack initiative, but we weren’t that lucky,” Siti added.

Agatha admitted she was also happy to get a chance to play at the BCA Indonesia Open Superseries Premier 2016.

"Happy to be at this tournament. Too bad we lost, the opponent wasn’t really that tough,” Agatha said.
