JAKARTA – Indonesian women’s doub;es, Tiara Rosalia Nuraidah/Rizky Amelia, finally forced Japan’s representative, Shizuka Matsuo/Mami Naito, in the first round of the BCA Indonesia Open Superseries Premier 2016, Wednesday morning, (1/6).

The tight match took 68 minutes to accomplish. Losing 15-21 in the opening game, Tiara/Rizky gave no more to the Japanese by winning the rest of the two games, 21-19 and 21-19.

“In the third game we were left behind quite significantly. We were comfortable with the match but I was a bit tense since my serves were declined by the service judge, probably it was a factor,” Rizky said.

“We were too rushing, we wanted to do it quickly but it overwhelmed us. Many points were wasted, we had been studying their performance through videos, the key to victory was wind factor. If it had been a normal performance, it could have been more difficult, they posed a mean defense,” Tiara added.

This victory brings them to the second round where they have been awaited by China’s fourth seed, Tian Qing/Zhao Yunlei.

“We don’t have any specific target, we just want to give the best for Indonesia,” Tiara said.

Tiara/Rizky have been a partner for less than a year but they said they had their own notes for their matches.

“We have been a partner for several times, and we feel more comfortable in the court now. To evaluate our performance, we see that we should not be in a rush and should be more careful,” said Rizky.
