JAKARTA - Danish badmonton star, Carsten Mogensen, is saying no to retirement from badminton which has been rocketing his reputation. He still wants to play for Denmark at the 2016 Rio Olympic, Brasil, August 5-22.

Although he is 32 years old, Mogensen still has spirit to give his best performance together with his partner Mathias Boe at the BCA Indonesia Open Superseries Premier's court which also becomes his training ground for the Olympic.

The rapid recovery he has had is quite surprising because Russia's medical team estimated he would have to take a rest for a long period of time.

"I don't want to retire from badminton, not this way. Supports from my family, coach, and Denmark' badminton board give me motivations and the chance I am having now is the time for me to show my best, I hope I can get through this," said the 2012 London Olympic silver medalist at .

Meanwhile, Boe admitted he was not too anxious with his partner especially they both have been playing together for 11 years. They know each other personally and in the court. Therefore, it is not difficult to start from all over again after 11 months of absence.

Boe is also sure if Mogensen keeps on improving his skills, they can achieve success in big tournaments. According to Boe, Mogensen is a tough player and he is sure it doesn't take long for him to be the comeback kid.

"Of course it will be a huge challenge. We have to slowly move on. We have to keep our performance as we had before," Boe added. If he can stun China's young players, Li Junhui/Liu Yuchen, at the BCA Indonesia Open Superseries 2016 initial match, it will practically become a good indication for them. therefore, they will stay focus for the Wednesday match at the Senayan Stadium, (1/6).
