The Title Holder Saina Goes To Quarter Final

The defender, Saina Nehwal goes to Djarum Indonesia Open Super Series Premier (DIOSSP) 2013 quarter final. The India's second seeded defeated Sayaka Takahashi in two sets straight, 21-13, 21-19.


Senayan stadium was roaring when Saina performed. Feels like home, Saina gained more self confidence, she smashed and attacked. Although her points were left behind her injury nightmare was putting her into a risk, Saina kept on performing brilliantly.

"Takahashi is a good player. It was a pretty fierce battle. It wasn't
easy to win," Saina admitted.

Having had a tough match in women's singles in DIOSSP, Saina admitted
she didn't have enough preparation. Just before the biggest badminton
event, she had to take a rest for four to five weeks due to injury.

"Although having the injury, it's impossible to skip this tourney. As
you all know, I am happy to be here," said the player who has Susi
Susanti as her idol.

In quarter final, Saina will face Carolina Marlin from Spain. Marlin
goes to quarter final after previously beating Thailand's player
easily, Busanan Ongbumrungpan with 21-8, 21-16.
