JAKARTA - The Denmark pair, Kim Astrup/Line Kjaersfeldt managed to stun an Indonesian doubles, Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir, in the second round of the BCA Indonesia Open Superseries Premier (BIOSSP) 2016,Thursday, (2/6). They claimed to be surprised with the win.

Astrup said he was happy to win the match in the second set although he never expected to overcome the higher rank Indonesian pair.

Moreover, here at the BIOSSP 2016 becomes his second time to play as a doubles. As known, Astrup is a partner of Anders Skaarup Rasmussen in men's doubles, while Kjaersfeldt is one of the seeded Denmark's women's singles.

"We never expected to win. We played nothing to lose and tried to collect one point at a time," said Kjaersfeldt who claimed he would rather focus on women's singles than on mixed doubles.

The key to their victory according to Kjaersfeldt is to play calmly and patiently in order to handle every attack Owi/Butet gave during the whole match. Although the crowd chanted Owi/Butet, they claimed they were unaffected.

"We didn't know what they were shouting about. So, we took it easily and considered it as a support for us," Astrup concluded.
