Febe's coach, Agus Dwi Santosa said Febe had actually felt the pain in her right thigh since facing Yip Pui Yin in the second round, Thursday (4/6). But Febe was still able to continue until the last minutes.
“She started to feel the pain yesterday. But since the match wasn't really the hard, she wasn't really feeliing the pain. But in the last match there was one or two movements giving her the pain," Agus said.
This simply made her cry after the match. She had to leave the court with a help of her coach.
"Yes she cried. It was so tragic because having 20-19, she could win,” Agus said representing Febe at a press conference.
Agus said that if Febe's condition were normal, with the support of the fans at the stadium, Febe could win and advance the semifinal. Especially she is currently in the peak of her performance. Febe is also collecting points to perform at the next Olympic.
“So far, she is improving in mentality and her performance responsibility. We'll see about her injury, we will consult the doctor as well," Agus added.
After ending the campaign at the BIO 2015, Agus has registered Febe to participate at US Open and Canada Open. After that, she will take a long two week rest before she plays at Taiwan Open and fully concentrating for the world championship.
On the other hand, Yui Hashimoto said her defeat in the first set was because she was adapting with the wind at the stadium, as a result, it made her do some errors.
However, in the second and the decider, she started to play her level and followed eerything her coach instructed.
"It's all because of my coach, I tried to focus and cimplied with the strategy instructed," she stated.
