Entering the second day of the 2017 BCA Indonesia Open Superseries Premier, Tuesday (16/6), the Jakarta Convention Center where the USD 1 million prize tournament is held is being poured by badminton fans from across the country.

Many of those claimed to have planned to watch the world's best badminton tournament. Many of them said they were willing to take leave at work just to attend the tournament held from yesterday, Monday (12/6) to Sunday (18/6) future.

A male visitor named Ilham (25) who was met by Djarum Badminton team at JCC this afternoon said he worked in a private company in Bandung and he took a leave just to watch his favorite mixed doubles, Tontowi Ahmad / Liliyana Natsir.

"I intentionally take leave at work so I can watch BIO this year since last year I could not get to take leave at work and I could only watch live the final," he said.

When asked about the tournament that held at the same time with the month of Ramadan, Ilham said it was not an excuse for him to come and support the athletes.

"It is very unfortunate that the tournament is coinciding with the month of Ramadan, but it is not an excuse [for me] to be absent from supporting the athletes, especially the Indonesian athletes. In fact, I am personally happy to watch and to kill the time waiting for breaking the fast," he concluded.
