Hendra Setiawan claimed that he played better compared to the previous match. “Today I feel that I have played better than yesterday. It was not easy to play against them as we have seen each other before and it was not easy either,” said Hendra Setiawan after the match.
Successfully securing a spot in the quarter-final round of the tournament through a two-set match, The Daddies seemed relaxed and focused on the game. The World’s No. 4 Men’s Doubles pair performed on their top level by not letting Lamsfuss/Seidel to expand their plays and putting them under pressure.
“Of course we want to thank god for being able to reach the Round of 8. Today’s match was actually tight and was not easy for us. But tried to stay focused,” said Mohammad Ahsan.
“During the second set, they changed their plays and we were very doubtful, so we made a lot of mistakes. Luckily we managed to get our feet back to the ground when the score stood at 15-15 ,” he added.
Hendra/Ahsan is the first Indonesian Men’s Doubles pair to secure the ticket to the quarter final of the tournament. In the Round of 8 of Blibli Indonesia Open 2019 BWF World Tour Super 1000, The Daddies will play against the Japanese player, Hiroyuki Endo/Yuta Watanabe.
On the other hand, there other three Indonesian Men’s Double pairs will only play the second round today. These players are Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo/Marcus Fernaldi Gideon, Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto and Angga Pratama/Ricky Karanda Suwardi.
