On that occasion, Dion Wiyoko is accompanied by the director of the movie, Sim F and the Indonesian badminton legends, Susi Susanti/Alan Budikusuma. “The movie will narrate the journey of Susi Susanti from playing a day-to-day badminton until she became the badminton champion. It would be huge miss if you don’t watch the movie,” said SIM F.
The director added that the movie will be very exciting as it will portray several key matches that happened during Susi Susanti’s career journey. One of the key matches that will be portrayed will include the moment when Susi Susanti won the gold medal in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. “This movie will help her to be a role model for all Indonesian youths, all badminton lovers and the public in general,” he said.
On the other hand, Dion Wiyoko claims that he feels very proud to have been able to be casted as Alan Budikusuma in Susi Susanti-Love All movie. “This is a challenge that I have to face. Playing as Alan Budikusuma is not easy. But, during the past four months of workshop, I am starting to get used to it,” said Dion Wiyoko to the supporters.
Susi Susanto-Lovall is an upcoming national movie that will narrate the journey of the Indonesian Badminton living legend, Susi Susanti. The movie is produced by ‘Damn! I Love Indonesia Movies’ in cooperation with Oreima Films, and East West Synergy with the help from Daniel Mananta and Reza Hidayat as the producers.
“Through this movie I hope that the supporters will know that back in the day we were also bullied when we lost, how was the journey to be the champion, the sacrifice of the hard work and how we used to live in the dorms, these all will be portrayed in the movie,” said Susi Susanti.
Susi Susanti-Love All movie is an authentic badminton movie. The movie will portray Susi Susanti’s journey since her childhood in Tasikmalaya, Jawa Barat, to her hard work in the training center until she became the champion.
