The title of the men's singles is finally won by Srikanth Kidambi from India. The world's 22nd successfully defeated a Kazumasa Sakai from Japan in the final of BCA Indonesia Superseries Premier Open 2017, Sunday (18/6).

Competing in court one at Plenary Hall Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Jakarta. Kidambi who has never played against the Japanese did not find any troubles in the first game. Kidambi won easily, 21-11.

Getting into the second game, Kidambi received a tougher resistance; his defense was easily breached Kazumasa. Luckily, to enter the mid-game of the second set in t37th minute, Kidambi got up and grabbed a close victory, 21-19.

"I am happy with this victory after previously injured. Coach Mulyo Handoyo's role also improves my ability," Kidambi told the media crew after the match.

"The Indian player is willing to train hard and committed to the program I set for him. This result shows that he is in the same level with world players," said Coach Mulyo Handoyo.
