JAKARTA - Young Indonesian men's doubles pair, Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto, failed to go to the BCA Indonesia Open Superseries Premier 2016 second round after on Wednesday afternoon were stunned by Denmark's pair, Mads Conrad Petersen/Mads Pieler Kolding. Fajar/Rian lost in deuce match,19-21, 21-14, and 25-27.

Not only unable to step on to the second round but also disappointed for not achieving their target, facing their senior compatriots who won 2015 World Championship, Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan.

"A bit disappointed because  we fail to meet our seniors in the second round. We really want to take on them, this is the rare chance to play against the players who have won many titles in many official
tournaments. But still the achievement this time is much better than the last year's,"
Fajar said.

Meanwhile, at the same time Rian commented on their defeat."When taking the lead in the third game, we weren't lucky although we played well. Hopefully we can be better in the future," he added.

"Evaluating the match, we should be able to control emotion and add more power," Fajar ended.

Thus, Hendra/Ahsan will take on Petersen/Kolding in the second round.
