Jakarta - One of Indonesia's players in qualifying round in women's singles, Ruselli Hartawan, has qualified to the next round after beating Austria's Simone with two sets straight, 21 - 18 and 21 - 18.

Taking on the tall Purtsch, Ruselli played fast paced short shot strategy.  The result was her taking an early lead with significant distance from her opponent, 13-7 in the game that played on court 3 at Istora Senayan, Monday (17/06/2014). However, slowly but sure, Simone Purtsch whose game is rapidly developed started to shorten the distance.

Meanwhile, Ruselli who was leading the game often made mistakes so that they paved a way for Prutsch victory. For the time, the score was all square, 18 -18, luckily, Ruselli managed to give her best performance and took the first game for her victory after a smash aimed at right corner of her opponent's court couldn't be handled by Purtsch.

Simone Prutsch started the second game better, she took the first 4 points, the score was 4-1 for Prutsch. After service over, Ruselli who was being instructed by his coach, Bambang Suprianto, slowly filled in the gap by playing more offensively and aggressively, the battle was getting tighter when it reached 11-10, after interval, Ruselli Hartawan was unstoppable until she managed to turn things around with 16-10, after being momentarily halted at 16, Ruselli finally ended her qualifying round with tight 21-18 after Prutsch's return spot on the outside of the court by the referee.
