Jakarta | There are so many ways to support the Indonesian badminton players during the Blibli Indonesia Open 2019 BWF Tour Super 1000. As a proof, during the day four of the tournament, or the quarter-final stage, on Friday (19/7), Istora Senayan is crowded by the supporters who come to the venue with unique costume.

Some of these supporters paint their face with a red-and-white motif, some wear Indonesian Traditional costume, some color their hair and several others wear unique accessories. Wahyu (32) from Pisangan, Jakarrta Timur claims that before he leave to Istora, his friends and him gathered in a place and plan something special for today.

“We do this for the sake of the Indonesian team. Hopefully our support may help them to be more motivated when they play the match,” said Wahyu. He hopes that all the Indonesian players who are competing in the quarter-final will make it to the semifinal. “I am optimistic that Indonesia can win all the possible titles,” he hoped.

Similar action was done by Ardi from Pejompongan. According to him, he along with all his friends come the venue wearing Indonesian traditional costume. “The point is to wear all costume from Sabang till Merauke. Some of my friends wear costume from Aceh and some wear the other traditional costume. We do this for the Indonesian team. We hope they can be the champion,” he said.
