Jakarta | The Danish Men’s Singles player, Anders Antonsen secures a spot in the final round of Blibli Indonesia Open 2019 BWF World Tour Super 1000 after beating Wong Wing Ki Vincent from Hong Kong with the score of 21-17, 21-10 during the match that was held in Istora Senayan, Jakarta on Saturday (20/7).

This will be Antonsen’s second final in Istora Senayan after recently, the Danish Men’s Singles player won the title of Daihatsu Indonesia Masters 2019 BWF World Tour Super 500 last January. Antonsen claims that he did not expect that his journey to the final round of Blibli Indonesia Open 2019 BWF World Tour Super 1000 is a smooth sailing for him.

“If asked about the secret, I also don’t know the secret on why I could play really well in Istora. I was just looking to find ways to be able to play comfortably here. This is amazing,” said Anders Antonsen to Djarumbadminton.com.

“I think I have good momentum for now. I have to keep trying and have to enjoy it now,” he added.

Furthermore, Antonsen claims that the boisterous supporters in Istora have helped him to boost his spirit and allowed him let out all his best abilities during Blibli Indonesia Open 2019 BWF World Tour Super 1000.

"The atmosphere in Istora is really amazing. I hope in the final tomorrow, Istora will be packed and noisy as usual. Then, that will be an extraordinary final,” he said.

In the final round of Blibli Indonesia Open 2019 BWF World Tour Super 1000, Antonsen will play against the Taiwanese Men’s Singles player, Chou Tien Chen. Chou secured the spot in the final round after beating the Thai player, Kantaphon Wangcharoen with the score of 21-19, 18-21 and 21-16.
