Alamsyah Yunus grabbed a ticket to BCA Indonesia Open Super Series Premier 2014 main round from India's H.S Prannoy 22-20, 22-20, Tuesday (17/6). The support from the fans was a motivation for Alamsyah to achieve semifinal.

Taking on Prannoy, this becomes Alamsyah's fifth victory while Prannoy has yet scored avictory over Alamsyah.

"Prannoy has a good attack but it doesn't last long. I was frustrated a little bit, but the fans support was really effectual especially in critical points," said Alamsyah.

In the first round, Alamsyah will take on Japan's envoy Sho Sasaki. Admitted by Alamsyah, he has never played against his next opponent but he would give the best he can to win.

"Shasaki's attack and defense are good, they are not easily cut off so we can expect rallies. I will play my best and play all out," said Alam who aims at BCA Indonesia Open Super Series Premier 2014 semifinal.

As for target, Alamsyah said that even though it is tough he would not pressure himself with it, in fact, he is more motivated to achieve semifinal this year.

"I was a winner at Grand Prix Gold. But never have I won at Super Series Premier, especially playing at home, the fans support gives me more motivation," he stated.

Preparation has been done thoroughly by Alamsyah especially during his presence at Djarum Sirkuit Nasional. When asked about his chance, Alamsyah said the chance is 50:50 for him to defeat Shasaki.

"Hopefully I can win. Get the jobs done step by step until reahing semifinal," he added.
